In this amazing and somewhat twisted spiritual memoir, you will be treated to the early life and times of Michael Scott Turner, better known to the world as Nick East, an AVN Hall of Fame adult film actor. In this gripping tale, Michael is guided by his Guardian Angel towards a better future by first learning from his past. As his guide's teachings increase in complexity, Michael is thrown into the world of pornography, the counter-culture, and unabashed hedonism, culminating in a brand new understanding of the universe and how we all really are one.
The Orion Compass eBook Michael Turner
Wow. Where to begin? I literally devoured this book in about 10 days just because I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. Trust me - it takes me forever to finish books sometimes, so that says something right there. Only one other book has had that effect on me that I can remember. One thing I will say up front is that Mr. Turner was very respectful in this book towards the women he worked with in his previous career. In an industry that is known for shaming and demoralizing women, he could have been a complete jerk and smeared these women horribly. I appreciated it greatly that he didn't, and it certainly was a sign of his character.
Reading-wise, the book flowed well and was easy to read. It didn't seem too long or too short, but I admit that knowing the length of Mr. Turner's previous career, I thought the book would end historically much later in time. Hence the need for Book 2, as my fellow reviewers have said as well.
As I approached the end of the book, I wasn't quite sure what I was going to write in my review. Although I did not agree personally with some of the spiritual doctrines presented, some things did catch my attention, and helped solidify truths that were already in my heart; things I needed a little reminder of myself. :) But it was the ending that changed my opinion of this book altogether.
It just goes to show you that we have no idea what is going on in people's lives sometimes, and the incredible journeys they've lived through to get them there. We're all a beautiful masterpiece in the making, and I enjoyed reading this glimpse into the early days of Mr. Turner's journey.
I am now anxiously awaiting the second book, Mr. Turner! Anytime would be great!

The Orion Compass eBook Michael Turner Reviews
My only problem, I want more, is book two coming soon? It was the most engaging read I have encountered in quite a while. More, please!
A friend convinced me to read this book, and at first I was skeptical. It was a very interesting look into the life of someone outside of the mainstream, but strangely familiar to all those who thought they were "lost" at one time in their life. The insight of the author's own internal journey is an inspiration for others.
I don't know. I've spent some time on the road with the Grateful Dead, and I would definitely consider myself a Dead Head. I think Mr. Turner (or Scott) failed to learn the single most important lesson to be learned by making one self associated to that scene. And that's to be kind.... Seems to me that by writing some of the things he wrote, and saying some of the things he said, even about people that he claimed to be his soul mate (he referred to Doris as a slut at one point), that he just got mad at people and wanted to document mean things about them.
I would also like to point out that people that hear voices in their heads and then acknowledging those voices by having a conversation with them is generally known as schizophrenia... Knowing that, I have an issue as to how much of this is actually true. Although I will say that I was actually at that show in Vegas that started with rain and then ended with Here Comes Sunshine. But I doubt that it happened just because Mr. Turner, and possibly "Orion" showed up. That being said, I would sure love an opportunity to hear Jeff Bristle's side of the story. I have a feeling that we would get a much clearer story....
Finally I would like to say that I really liked the character Andy Mann. He sounds like the only righteous brother in this story for getting mad at Scott for selling his GD ticket for $1000.
A real page turner, the moment i got it, i started reading it and never let go and finished it before the day is over, I can't wait for the second one.
very enjoyable read! want to read the next book when it comes out! love the visuals this book creates and the adventures it describes!
definitely piqued my curiosity ..... interesting & a bit perplexed .
would recommend it to those who know & have experienced the power of all their senses ... here & beyond
where's the next one?
